About African Diamond
Who Is African Diamond?
Born on 30/10/1993 in Cameroon, Elie Tane Ngnewo who goes by the stage name African Diamond aka Elie Champion started his bodybuilding career in 2016. He has participated in different top level competitions which have all contributed to path his way to Mr Olympia goal.
His first international competition was in 2017, where he won World Champion jr at 24 Years old. After this, from 2017 through 2019 he was injured where he had 3 operations on his leg. He recovered in 2019 and won Mr Universe 2019 in Mexico. From 2019 to 2021, he was in Italy where he won the WABA World Pro Italy and also won Mr Classic 2021.
After competing in one of the big shows in Maryland USA, Elie was close to obtaining his pro card but it slipped for a bit. So he continues his journey prepping for the next qualifications to get a chance to obtain the price.
